Compudyne is excited to announce the opening of their newest office in Houghton, Michigan. This new office is located in the historic Houghton Power House at 101 W Lakeshore Drive.
Located on the Houghton waterfront next to the Portage Lake Lift Bridge, the Powerhouse is a visible example of historical restoration and reuse of a once abandoned building. The structure served as the Upper Peninsula’s first power station, providing electric power for the cities of Hancock and Houghton.
This new location is in the Keweenaw, Michigan’s scenic Upper Peninsula. Rich in natural resources, the area is surrounded by Lake Superior with plenty of beautiful landscape for year-round outdoor recreation. Rivers, lakes and waterfalls meet abundant wildlife, green forests and miles of trails for exploring. In the winter, recreationists take advantage of the Keweenaw’s great ice fishing, snowmobiling, skiing and snowshoeing.
With a population of 30,000 people in an 80 square mile area, the Keweenaw is a great place to raise a family. It offers a clean, safe and simple way of living in all of our communities. Compudyne is thrilled to become a part of the Keweenaw community.
